A charity sale. Ask local people to donate stuff they don’t want to be sold for the trip’s expenses. There will be some people who’ll do that if it’s for a worthy cause like this one.

I was part of a youth group when I was younger that had auctions to raise money for the things that we needed and I thought that a few things that we did was pretty neat. For example, a few things that would cost a little to nothing: Bake Sale, anything that would be eatable. The one thing that I really liked, and still think is a good idea, is for kids to auction out their services to the community. For example, girls could auction themselves for cleaning services, baby sitting, etc. For the boys, yard work, cleaning out the gutters, etc. Just make sure that the community knows what the money is going for and that it is an auction. You could raise way over $200 with a good crowd, and good workers to auction off! Good Luck!

I write a blog that gives kids ideas on making money. How about a big car wash, with donations AND a pledge form? Or a giant garage sale? Or a raffle with prizes donated from local businesses.

Good luck!! Munnybagz
