I think parents and society are responsible for raising kids to the age of responsibility?

raising kids right
jack asked:

wich you could call ’18′ but could well be older. If the child commits a crime I think the responsibility for the crime lays with ‘parents/society’ for not doing the job of raising the child properly. Sure teenagers form an idea of right and wrong but you only have to see how a typical 20 year old drives a car to know that the mature mind is not yet formed even at that age. To me that equals ‘diminished responsibility’ for teens who commit crimes. The responsibility really lays with parents/society. I am not saying there should be no punishment or admonition – but being punished as an adult when a teenager is wrong. What do others think?

I agree. I think there is a lack of discipline and respect in the children that are being raised.
