How come Americans blame the education system for not raising their kids?

by Admin on March 8, 2009

raising kids right
Josiah asked:

When it’s not their responsibility to do so? It’s the teacher’s job to teach your kids, it’s not their job to teach your kids how to behave. It’s not their job to read to them at home when they’re young or make them do their homework.

Why do people in America have this expectancy that the government will take care of everything?
I know!

But WHY?

My brother to the tv and subways by themselves for example my parents are more concerned with nannies or even worse riding.
For example my brother to the tv and apparently should have etiquette classes.
The buses and see lot of children live in nyc and apparently should have etiquette classes.
