Definitely yes because you as parent have given this authority to shape their children in all aspects as to be a better person in the future. Parents will be held accountable for their children and obligated to instruct, the children to listen and learn. No limitations as to time or place were put on this instruction. Whenever appropriate, wherever convenient, whatever suitable situation presented itself, instruction should be given.

kids do what we teach them.. As they are growing up with us they learn every bit of life from us..

So in my opinion if u raise them and teach them how to be good human beings they will turn out to be the same..

there might be other influences like friends and other ppl they deal with day to day life which might not be matching with the parental teachings…. but i think that can be corrected..

the most important thing when we be good parents and teach them good they will follow us..

I think all parents have this concern but in my opinion the best we can do is to lay a firm foundation in our homes and be examples to our kids.

It scares the holy crap out of me. All the crime, drugs and corruption of the world today. It seems like absolutely nothing is sacred anymore. Divorce is so common that it’s sickening. Kids are starting to have *** and have babies at 10, 11, 12 years old. Oh yes, I’m scared. I’m just hoping that he isn’t like I was as a teenager and listens to me. I think a good part of it is that so many parents are trying to be their kid’s friends and are afraid to discipline them. I would love it if my son saw me as a friend, but I’m not going to let him do whatever and run all over the place just so he’ll consider me a buddy.

Yes, but as a parent I also knew what world I was bringing my child into. I worry a lot about how my son will turn out after being around other children that seem out of control. It seems like a lot of moms my age (22) around where I live think it’s acceptable to let their child act any way they please. I just hope my influence means more to him than that of the outside world.

Of course I am! That’s the price I paid when I decided to be a Mom… all we can do is prepare our children the best way we know how, and protect them to the best of our abilities.

Of course. But, as a parent I worry about every decision I make having an impact on my child’s life. “is that choice I made going to cause them mental trauma?”, etc. We just have to teach them what we want them to know, the best that we can and hope that they have the strength to stand up in today’s society…just as our parents did and all the parents that came before them.

I would have no concern raising children,I know I would be able to bring them up right..The only concern would be when they were out in the real world,deal with the sickos in this would, I know that I would bring them up right to do right,and make proper decisions,I guess I would only worry about them being harm by someone…

Parenting is less about teaching as it is about being an example. That teaches them far more than any “lessons” you set out to teach. My children observe me, and practice what they see. If you are a decent person, you children will see that. If you aren’t and especially if you neglect to be around them, they will learn it from someone else. Be good to others and have your children follow your example.

OMG I worry about everything to a certain extent. I was worrying about global warming yesterday and how it will affect my daughter in her lifetime. I was wondering if it was selfish of me to bring children into this crazy world but I guess we cant focus on all the negative. We just have to do our best to be the best parents we can be and raise wonderful kind hearted moral children and hope they choose to help save the world and not make it worse.
